MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY

My full name is Ruth Noemy Martinez Interiano. I was born on May 8, 1988 in the National Hospital in Santa Ana, El Salvador. I grew up in the camp with my mother and my brothers. I lived in Canton Cutumay Camones since I was a little, but now I live in Santa Ana. I have a big family; I have six brothers and I am the baby of my family. Now, I just live with my mother, my brother and my grandfather. My mother is my hero because she never got tired for fighting for my brothers and I. She always stay there to me. My mother´s name is Vilma Gladis Interiano Posada and my brother´s name is Felipe Alfredo Martinez Interiano. I studied my high school in 2005-2007 at Colegio Bautista when I came to live to Santa Ana City. Now, I am studying a major at the National University in Santa Ana. My major is Licenciatura en Idiomas opcion Enseñanza. I choose this major because I really like this language: English. I would like to help others sharing my knowledge about English.

My Teaching Philosophy

For me, teaching is about sharing knowledge with others. When we talk about sharing knowledge with others in the classroom, we refer to the exchanges of information and to the interaction between teachers and students. However, teaching is not a easy job, but it is an opportunity to contribute in student's learning process. Therefore, we have to be good teachers and we must develop a good role because we are their models.
As teachers, our priority must be focus on the effective learning and how to involve our estudents in the classroom. And we have to create a good environment so that students feel comfortable during the class; they can  feel self-confident in their learning process. However, we must manage students in the classroom. Sometimes, it is not easy because they like to talk a lot and then, they  start to make noisy. So, we have to implement some strategies to control them. One of this strategies is to knock the door or to knock the board in order to catch their attention because they are the center in the classroom. As teachers, we have not only to take into account  different strategies, methods, and approches, but also  different abilities and skills  that will help us to develop a class and to mantain the order in the classroom.
On the other hand, my teaching philosophy  is based on creating a good environment inside the classroom
so that students can learn and understand the topics easily. why a good environment in the class, becuase it is the best way that students can learn. Teenagers and children are alike as they like to learn English languge  trough games in order to get their learning process fun. So, teacher's job is to facilitate a lesson that includes the participation of the students. Indeed, teachers play an important role in student's life because we provide them our knowledge as well as they does.

My Teaching Experience

In this new experience, I discovered that being a teacher is not just to prepared a good class or a good lesson plan. Being a teacher means that I had to face different situations inside the classroom. For example, teenagers liked to talk a lot and they were not focus on the class. While I was explaning the topic, they were distracted. The fist time, when I enter to the classroom and I started to talk in English; they told me ''I do not undestand anything'' and  "what you are saying." and they begun laughing. I felt fustrated , but I did not give up. Then, I started the class talking in English and then in Spanish. It was difficult for me and for them because they do not have the base of English; but we started to learn together the language.

On the other hand, this experience was a challenge because students were in high school and they do not have the level that they should have. They had  a module book that was provide from the school and I used it to peprare my clases. This module contains topics as passive voice, present perfect, past perfect, etc. They do not have the level of these tenses. Also, they had to do all the tasks that were at the end of the unit even though they did not understand the tenses. After that I started the class explaining them what are the personal pronouns, greetings, simple present and we played some games and we had a good time learning together.

Also, I went to the school that has the distance's learning program.I was teaching students of my same age and others that were over of my age, but it was a plesure for me to be there becuase I could learn a lot from them. I went to school on Saturdays. I was teaching four hours. Also, I was very comprehencing with my students because most of them work and they make  a big effort to be there. It was something that I admired of them becuase they really wanted to accomplish their goals in spite of their situations. that's why I tried to undestand them and to encourage them to continue doing their best.
